LS Speaker rejects opposition demand to adjourn Question Hour to discuss electoral bond issue

Speaker of Lok Sabha Om Birla today rejected the Congress’s demand to adjournment of Question Hour to discuss Election Bond issue.
Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, the request for adjournment motion was given as they were compelled to take up the issue. He also cited BJPs protests during the UPA government.
Replying to the charges, Parliamentary Affairs minister Prahlad Joshi said, BJP opposed earlier on the basis of CAG report and Supreme Court’s verdict.
The question hour continued despite members of the Congress raised slogans in the well of the house.
