KTR lays stone for Balanagar flyover

Hyderabad : Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today laid foundation stone for construction of Balanagar-Narsapur flyover here along with Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, MP N Malla Reddy and others.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said Balanagar flyover, on becoming functional, will ease of vehicular traffic problems of lakhs of people in the city. He also announced that they will soon launch a Metro Rail from Nagole to Miyapur and thinking of second phase of Miyapur Metro works. KTR said the TRS government was committed to increase connectivity with better infrastructure. The Government was planning to spend Rs 3,000 crore on flyovers and roads and Rs 10,000 crore proposals are getting road for better road connectivity, he said.

The State government has asked Defense Ministry to give their lands for construction of sky-ways in the city. He said that the people are ready to give mandate to KCR again despite the Congress’ false propaganda. He said there is no chance for the Opposition to stage protest with empty pots for water as the government has taken steps. He said the government was disproving the comments that the new State will hamper development.

The Minister also said that Andhra rulers carried out misinformation campaign of attacks on their assets if Telangana was accorded statehood. This was totally wrong as there was no single incident in three-and-a-half years pf TRS Government, he said. There was a baseless criticism that statehood will not help develop Telangana and cause damage. “We are No 1 in Ease of Doing Business, gave permissions to 4,100 industrial units through TSIPASS and Hyderabad is the fastest growing city and noted for quality living. Credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for resolving the power and water problems in a short time. The new State was doing well and there are many other problems to be addressed”, he added.

Srinivas Yadav said Balanagar people were facing a lot of traffic problems and the new flyover will end their vows. KTR was focusing on Hyderabad development and providing basic amenities to people and built two reservoirs in Hyderabad to quench the thirst.

MP Malla Reddy said the new flyover will be completed in one-and-a-half year. The city people will see roads without potholes in about six months, he added.
