KTR dares Congress to move court against corruption

Hyderabad,  MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao today slammed the Congress for leveling false allegations of corruption in power purchase deals and opposing  24-hour power supply to farm sector. “They can move court with proof against the alleged power irregularities”, he suggested.
Interacting with the media here, KTR ridiculed the Congress was afraid of 24-hour power supply, Rs 4,000 per acre crop investment and making a hue and cry. KTR also took a dig at the Andhra Pradesh Government for double standards on power requirements of the State. “The AP Government denied power to us during difficult times and came to sell only after making agreements with others”, he claimed.
KTR expressed displeasure at the Congress leaders for making a hue and cry on the power production and supply to the farm sector. He denied reacting to the remarks made by newly joined Congress leader Revanth Reddy at Gun Park. “What is the need for us to react on those persons, who are corrupt and jailed for some time”, he said.
As the main Opposition party was against the growth and farmers’ welfare, it was coming in the way of power supply, he alleged. The “corrupt” Congress leaders could not digest the success of power supply to the agriculture sector, he charged. “The Congress runs away from the Assembly from discussing the power issue and was afraid that it would not come to power if the TRS succeeds in every scheme and program.
A full-time discussion was on for a new Panchayat Raj Act and works of Pharma city will begin on getting permissions. He said he will be on four-day foreign tour for attracting investments, signing agreements with some companies and participate in the World Economic Summit.
