Krishnaiah To Float New Party

Guntur : Backward Classes Welfare association national president and TDP MLA R Krishnaiah today said a new party would be floated soon for the future of BCs.

A decision would be taken soon to prepare an action plan for setting up of a new political party for BCs, Krishnaiah said while addressing BC welfare association State executive meeting here. He said public meetings would be organized at Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Anantapur, Kurnool andRajahmundry for bringing unity among the BCs.

No political party was encouraging or allotting seats to BCs, who are 56% in the population, the BC leader said and opposed inclusion of Kapu community in the BC list. He also demanded 50% reservation for BCs in all legislative bodies. He demanded that the Union government fill 14 lakh vacant posts, including over one lakh posts in the State.
