KCR AGAINST THE PRACTICE OF OUTSOURCING JOBS!!

Hyderabad,  Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Friday hinted that his government was for doing away with the practice of outsourcing jobs, which was the creation of the previous regimes.

Intervening during question hour in the Telangana Assembly, the Chief Minister pointed that if the government is compelled to appoint outsourcing employees, it would be only for a period of three months. Referring to the concern expressed by MIM Floor leader Akbarsudin Owaisi that those eligible for reservations were being affected due to outsourcing employees, the Chief Minister said that the government would keep in view this aspect while outsourcing jobs.

The Chief Minister further said that it would not be possible for any government to provide employment to all and pointed out that even Modi government at the centre was being blamed in this regard.

Earlier TDP member R. Krishnaiah appealed to the Chief Minister to take necessary steps to make contract employees working in various departments permanent as was done in the case of nearly 22,000 employees in the electricity department. He pointed out that many contract employees are retiring even before they are made permanent. He urged the CM to bring in necessary legislation in the Assembly to make contract employees permanent and anted this  be taken up on humanitarian grounds.

Asserting that he was not against making permanent outsourcing employees, Akbaruddin Owaisi said justice should be meted out to SCs, STs, BCs and minorities. BJP member C. Ramchandra Reddy said that  while he was not against making permanent outsourcing employees, he was against creating any more new outsourcing jobs.
