Recently, in a similar incident, unable to bear the demise of his lover, a youth committed suicide by hanging himself. The incident took place night at Chidambaram’s Parameshwanallur in Kadalur district, Tamilnadu.

According to the police, the deceased Vitheeswaran (22) had lost his parents in childhood. He lived with his uncle. After completing his studies, he went to the states. Few months ago, he returned to his hometown after working there for a couple of months.

Meanwhile, he fell in love with Rathina Priya (21) who was a third year student of Bsc in a private college. On November 9, when she was talking with Vitheeswaran on phone, her mother saw her and warned her not to meet him again.

A depressed Priya hanged herself at her house. Vitheeswaran came to know about his beloved lover’s demise and attended her final rites. Later, he went to his home and felt bad about Priya’s suicide. On the same night, when he was alone he too hanged himself to a fan and committed suicide.

The police was informed who came to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. His relatives and friends came to the hospital and got into an argument with the hospital staff when they found rat bites on the body. The police intervened in the matter and sent them back.
