Later CP Hyderabad said that Security is being monitored by a senior officer at all the important junctions in Hyderabad City during the lock-down today. We are permitting exempted categories like health workers, medical staff, essential commodities food item suppliers, milk. And for international and national travelers, can get the digital E pass from the Hyderabad City web portal. More than 700 digital passes have been issued so far.
Goods vehicles transporting emergency goods do not need a pass, they just need to affix A4 size paper on the windshield of their vehicle stating the details of their goods. (Self Declaration). E pass must be taken if anyone else wants to get the pass. A guideline has also been issued by the Department of Industries to allow certain categories of them.
We have a total of 168 police check posts in Hyderabad City which are open from 10 am to 6 am of next day. In order to implement a full-scale lockdown in Hyderabad City, One Sub Inspector and staff will be on duty at each check post and they must allow the exempted categories.
There are a large number of hospitals in Hyderabad where many of them are being treated and we are allowing the patient assistants on a showing of relevant doctor prescription and hospital visitor pass. Currently, Hyderabad city is very safe compared to other cities. I appeal to the people of Hyderabad that this 10 days lockdown is for your safety. Lockdown in Hyderabad continues peacefully. We are registering violation cases against those who come out unnecessarily and seized the vehicles also. We made instructions to the police personnel in all possible ways. Those who cross the states must get these E passes online at the Web portal office. For ten days everyone has to keep a social distance and wear masks. Appropriate precautions should be taken while purchasing daily necessities during the relaxation period.
