KCR meets Mamata at Kolkata, discuss issues

Hyderabad,  Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who landed in Kolkata today, received a grand welcome by his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Benerjee at her State Secretariat.
Earlier, West Bengal Minister Purnendu Basu and officials welcomed the Telangana Chief Minister with bouquets at the Airport. Mamata Benerjee spoke a few words with TRS senior leader K Keshav Rao (former Congress leader) and offered cordial welcome to the visiting Chief Minister at the West Bengal Secretariat. Both the Chief Ministers are understood to have closeted for about two hours and shared their views on Federal Front. The meeting assumes significance to form an alliance at national level against the Congress and BJP Governments at the Centre.
According to informed sources, the meeting of the two chief ministers will continue till the evening  i.e. 5.30 pm. Both the CMs are expected to chalk out a future plan of action for a possible Federal Front being proposed by KCR. It was being touted that the duo may focus on formation of Federal Front, aims and objectives, agenda and future action plan to garner support of other like-minded political parties. Federal Front is the brainchild of Telangana Chief Minister to come up with an alternative to bring about a qualitative change in the national politics.
The TRS leaders, who accompanied the Chief Minister include K Keshav Rao, MP Kavitha, Government Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma and others. After holding talks, KCR is likely to visit the world famous Kali Mata temple and offer special prayers in the city. Then he will fly back to Hyderabad in the evening. The Telangana Chief Minister wants to push forth the fire brand Mamata Benerjee, who has better relationships at national level with top level leaders of other political parties.
Mamatha Benerjee, who was Railway Minister and had given a tough fight at the national level to the ruling parties since a long time to achieve her goal. Apparently, the Telangana Chief Minister wants to have the support of Mamata Benerjee for the alternative front that is to play a key role in the 2019 general elections.
