Hyderabad, Aug.13 (PMI): Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya today alleged that TRS working president KT Rama Rao was making false comments on nationalism and religion. “It is totally wrong for KTR to make wild charges that the BJP was indulging in religious politics in the name of nationalism. Both cannot be compared or attributed to go together”, he said and asked KT Rama Rao to refrain from such remarks.
Talking to mediapersons, Dattatraya said the TRS government should conduct Telangana Liberation Day on September 17 to respect Telangana martyrs. He charged the KCR government with failure to release waters to crops under the big project, which will lead to agriculture crisis. The TRS government has failed to release waters for crops under Kaleshwaram project ayacut. He also demanded that the State government release waters and protect the crops under the project. He also said BJP will conduct Telangana Liberation Day on September 17 if the State government fails to keep its promise. He also urged the government to release funds for farm loan waiver and help the farmers in distress and give details of waters released so far.
Dattatraya said the KCR government failed to irrigate crops despite spending Rs 80,000 crore for Kaleshwaram project. He expressed concern that farmers were protesting for waters to their crops under ayacut include Annaram, Sundilla, Medigadda and the adjoining areas under the Kaleshwaram project.
