CPs warn of stern action against those obstructing buses

Hyderabad, Oct.22 (PMI): City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar today warned of stringent criminal action against those obstructing public transport or private buses plying on the city roads.

The Commissioner said cases would be booked for assaulting drivers working for the TSRTC and that trial of such cases would be done by fast track courts. Any obstruction of these drivers would be booked as cases of obstruction to government servants from discharging their duty.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar also warned those who were planning to disrupt the movement of RTC buses being run by private drivers. He said anyone found trying to assault private drivers, who were discharging their duties, would be booked under relevant IPC sections and cases would be tried in fast track courts. Any obstruction of the drivers will be booked as obstruction to Government servants from discharging their duties. Firm action will be taken for any such offence, he added. He also said the striking crew would be allowed to perform dharna or stage protest, without any prior permission from the police.
