CPI Threatens to Intensify Stir for Start of Metro Train Works in the Old City

Hyderabad,  CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana today asked whether MIM supremo and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi was chief minister of the Old Hyderabad City like K Chandrasekhar Rao was elected as Chief Minister of Telangana State.

Speaking to the media after traveling in Metro Rail from Tarnaka to Ameerpet, along with party leaders Palla Venkat Reddy, E T Narasimha and others, Narayana has warned State government that the CPI would not keep quiet if it neglected the Old City, which has half of the population of the State capital. He said while the Metro Rail was running around Hyderabad city, but surprisingly the Metro Rail works were not launched yet in Old City.

An angry CPI leader asked whether the Old Hyderabad City was another country and Old City was not part of the State? He questioned the Chief Minister as to why his government was showing partiality towards Old City. He also alleged that the KCR government has kept Old City Metro Rail project in the cold storage at the instance of the MIM supremo. Narayana warned the State government that his party will intensify the movement if it failed to start Metro Works.

Leaders M Narsimha, Mohammed Saleem Khan, Rakesh Singh, Veeresham, Chandra Mohan, AIYF City vice-president G Harinath Goud were also present.
