Course on “Medical Education Methodology” Begins

Hyderabad,  Olive Hospitals here today conducted a three-day international course on “medical education methodology” run by Edinburgh Medical School, UK from today on the theme “Edinburgh Medical School Telangana State International Medical Education Course”. The Integrated Curriculum model is based on teaching students to treat patients as people, not cases.
The course was being held at the Olive Hospitals for two days and at Osmania Medical College on the last day. The faculty was led by Prof. Neil Turner, Dean for Undergraduate Teaching, Edinburgh Medical School, UK, who spoke on clinical teaching.
Dr Ali Mehdi, Convener of the course, is an alumnus of Osmania Medical College and currently working as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon near Edinburgh. Dr Aruna Ramaiah, Principal of Osmania Medical College, Honorary President of the Association of Medical Educationists Dr PV Chalam, Mujahid Hussain, Managing Director, Olive Hospital also spoke.
