Congress adopting dual standards: Harish

Hyderabad,  Irrigation Minister, T Harsih Rao today charged the Congress with indulging in false allegations on the projects and development.

Addressing a public meeting after participating in some development programs, including Dindi project works at Kondamallepally, Harish Rao lashed out at the Congress for provoking people with wrong campaigning. Fearing bleak political future in the State, the Congress leadership was creating hurdles to the development works, he charged.

The Government is keeping all the promises and develop all sectors and will give 24 hours power to farm sector from January 1, he said. Ayacut was increased by 5 lakh acres which is put at 16 lakh acres now by reviving 46000 lakes through Mission Kakatiya he claimed. Land records survey completed 95.53 per cent and resolved 9 lakh acres disputes in Nalgonda alone he said adding that corruption was reduced in revenue department and others. He said that 4 tmc water will be stored in Dindi Balancing reservoir (DBR) in Nalgonda district by rainy season in 2018.

He inspected the works of DBR as part of SLBC with officials here. Later talking to reporters he said that the Government is spending Rs 470 cr for the project and 60 per cent works were completed. Out of 7.5 tmc capacity of the BRC, 4 tmc will be stored by next rainy season he said and adding that of 43 km stretch 30 km digging works over. Stating that 100 per cent of digging works and 50 per cent lining works of the project were completed he said that retenders will be called for Pendlipakala project if the work agency failed to take up works. Land acquisition at Achampet in Nagarkurnool was completed and asked the Collector to offer replacement and rehabilitation to submerging villages and people in Mothya Tanda and others in Chandampet mandal under the project.
