Cong. Neglected Muslims’ development: Dattatreya

Hyderabad,  Stating that Supreme Court has already given verdict saying that ‘Triple Talaq’ was against the law, Union former Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has said that the women and men were equal as per Quran.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Dattatreya has said that Triple Talaq issue was there for the last 1400 years and the Muslim women were waging fight against the tradition. He made it clear that BJP has no intention to send anyone to jail in the name of Triple Talaq. He alleged that MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi was spreading misinformation about new Act and said that women need social justice. The Congress party never wished the development of Muslims and treated them only as vote bank.

Describing the day the Triple Talaq bill got acceptance in the Parliament as an historical day, Dattatreya said that it was not proper to Asaduddin to link his political motives to BJP. He informed that AICC Women Wing secretary Naseema has joined BJP for passing Triple Talaq bill in the Lok Sabha. He termed 2018 year as Movements Year for BJP.

Speaking about state politics, Dattatreya has demanded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to convene all-party meeting to discuss on irrigation projects. He said that the centre was positive on the proposals sent by the state government on irrigation projects but the state government was adopting unilateral attitude in this regard.
