CLMC seeks review of verdict in Mecca masjid bomb blast case

Hyderabad,  The Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee has demanded that review of the Mecca Masjid Bomb blast case judgment acquitting all the five accused recently.

            Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, the Committee general secretary Latif Mohammed Khan, deputy general  secretary Kaniz Fatima and advocate Ismail said the Civil Liberties Monitoring panel took serious exception to the verdict in the mosque blast case when the accused admitted their guilt during investigation. He also recalled that the NIA police took several innocent  Muslim youths into custody suspecting them as accused and put them to mental and physical torture.

            The  CLMC members requested the NIA police to file an appeal in the High Court and see that the accused are punished by producing proper evidence and render justice to the victims.

            CLMC members Srinivas, Ibrahim Ali, Nikkat Fatima and others were present.
