Centre urged to punish drug mafia as terrorists

Hyderabad,   Cine producer and Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Shakthi president Kethireddy Jagadish Reddy urged the Central government to consider drug sellers as betrayers and bring a tough law to punish them severely. He also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to direct CBI to inquire into the drugs case considering drug mafia as terrorists.

            Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy conducted debate on drugs and its impact on human society at Somajiguda Press Club here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Ponguleti alleged that drugs case interrogation was going on snails’ path. He asked Youth Congress and voluntary organisations to conduct awareness programs to create awareness among youth on bad effects of drugs use. The government was wasting time in the name of interrogation of cine actors and there was no progress in the case. He suggested SIT to move ahead in the case.

Senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, Suryaprakash Rao, former IPS officer Gopinath Reddy, cine lyrics writer Jonnavithula, director Tripuraneni Chitti, Youth Congress state president Anil Kumar Yadav, NSUI state president B Venkat, AISF state president Venu, PDSU state president Prabhu also spoke.
