BJP to hold Lawyers’ conference in State soon

Hyderabad,  Telangana BJP would organise a Lawyers’ conference in the State shortly to discuss various issues, including “oppressive” decisions of the State government.
A date would be finalized for the conference in which over 5,000 advocates across the State would participate, said MLC N Ramchender Rao while addressing a State BJP Legal Cell executive meeting held at State party headquarters at Nampally today.
Criticizing functioning of the TRS government, Ramchender Rao alleged that the State government was trying to cover up its failures and indulging in false propaganda. Referring to furore in Parliament created by TRS MPs demanding shifting and bifurcation of High Court, the BJP MLC accused the TRS government was trying to tarnish the image of the BJP by holding it responsible for the delay.

As there was High Court order not to shift it, and State government alone was responsible for not filing a review petition on that order, Rao said, adding that a review petition will come up soon and shifting of the HC would be effected very soon. Rao also said instead of levelling “baseless” allegations against the BJP government at the Centre, the State government should explain why it failed to set up courts in the newly-created districts so far. The TRS government was also violating human rights by not allowing people to express their protests, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya and BJP floor leader in the Assembly G Kishan Reddy said the party’s legal cell will play an important role in exposing the “dictatorial” functioning of the TRS government. “Now we have to fight politically and legally against the State government which made mockery of democracy.
Party senior leader N Indrasen Reddy and State legal cell convenor Vishwanath Ravinder were also present.
