Hyderabad, May 2 (PMI): Former Chief Minister of UP and President of Samajwadi Party, Akilesh Yadav was accorded a warm and tumultuous welcome by TRS leaders and members of Yadava community on arrival at the Begumpet Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

The SP Chief arrived in the city on invitation from Chief Minister K. Chandtrasekhar Rao, who is spearheading the efforts to form a Federal Front as an alternative to both the Congress and BJP at the national level with the sole objective of ushering a qualitative change in Indian politics. A few days back IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao made a stop over in Uttar Pradesh and called on Akilesh and extended an invitation to him on behalf of KCR.

         Accordingly Akilesh arrived by a special flight at Begumpet Airport and was received by KTR and Animal Husband Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. A number of leaders belonging to Yadava community and other social organizations also accorded him a grand welcome. Later Akilesh drove to Pragathi Bhavan where he had a luncheon meeting and discussed about the proposed Federal Front.

          It might be mentioned here in his exercise for forging unity among various regional parties of different states, KCR had already met Sest Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee, JD (S) Chief and former PM Deve Gowda and his son Kumaraswamy, DMK Patriach M. Karunanidhi and the party’s Working President M.K.Stalin and his sister Kanimozi, had telephonic talks with JMM Chief Sibu Soren.

         Interestingly Akilesh  and Rahul Gandhi joined hands together and the SP and Congress together contested the 2014 elections. Later in the fecent byelectons in Ghirakpur, Akilesh and Mayawati of BSP came together. Though Akilesh is not averse to Congress and has been maintaining cordial relations with Rahul Gandhi, it has to be seen how he would react to KCR’s committed move to forge the Federal Front against the Congress and BJP.

        However on his part KCR has made all required arrangements to impress upon the oung SP Chief by tuning the main through fares in the city from Begumpet Airport into pink with huge welcome arches and cut-outs of Akliesh. (PMI)
