A WOMAN CONVICTED FOR LIFE IMPRISOMENT IN MURDER CASE

Hyderabad May 18 (PMI): An elderly woman living in Venkatadari Nivas of Badangpet was murdered by a husband and wife to rob her jewelry. Sri. B. Suresh Hon’ble XIII ADJ Court sent accused Smt CH Yadamma w/o Balasubramanyam for life Imprisonment and fine Rs 4000 for murder of Smt Nagalakshmi aged sixty (60) years which took place in the year 2016.

The accused Balasubramanyam is an auto driver who used to pick and drop the school going granddaughter of deceased Smt Nagalakshmi and hatched a plan with his wife CH Yadamma to theft the Jewelry of deceased.  Both husband and wife went to the deceased house on 18 March 2016 when she was alone in the house at 10.30 in the morning and according to their plan they requested with deceased for Rs 2000 hand loan.

The deceased agreed for the same and when she was going into her room, both the accused followed her and Yadamma (accused 2) tied around the neck of deceased with a saree while her husband pushed her due to which she fell down.

They have been brutal with the elderly woman while taking her life, husband held both the legs of deceased while wife sat on her chest beat her with hands and also hit her head to the floor due to which she received bleeding and severe head injuries and died on the spot.  After that, the both the accused have committed theft of Gold pusthelathadu with pusthelu, one pair of ear tops with maties, one ring and one pair of silver anklets and fled away from the scene.

Initially there was no clue in this case but I.O Sri K. Chandrashekar, DI Meerpet P.S made his efforts and detected the case by arresting the accused Smt Ch Yadamma on 07th June 2016 and sent her to judicial remand.  Thereafter, the IO Sri N.Ch Ranga Swamy, Inspector of Police took up further investigation into the case. After completion of investigation, he filed charge sheet against Yadamma in the court seeking NBW against Balasubramanyam as he was absconding and his whereabouts could not be traced.

The Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS, appreciated the IO, CDO and Addl.P.P for their efforts in getting conviction and announced reward to them.(Press Media of India)
